1. About Winesulike.co.uk

1.1 Who are Winesulike?

We are the online retailing arm of Hillbridge Estates Ltd. an established independent UK Wine Merchant, operating since 2002 and specialising in top quality wines from South Africa, New Zealand, Italy and Bulgaria.

Winesulike offer a truly exceptional range of award winning fine wines direct from the vineyards, which are highly rated and available in the UK at substantial discounts. A stunning selection of mixed cases, wine gifts and accessories that complement your investment.

We are committed to offering true value for money by cutting out the “middle man” and therefore offering you exceptional prices direct. We hold stock of wines in our UK depot to ensure you receive your delivery quickly and efficiently.

Our exceptional range of wines from South Africa are independently rated by the world’s top wine critics and many have been awarded gold medals and 5 star ratings, such as John Platter wine guide, Michelangelo International wine awards and Selections Mondiales des Vins Canada as well as being selected by many International Airlines. 

We’re passionate about wine and believe that knowing more about where the wines come from, the grape varieties and wine styles, this can enhance your wine drinking experience and embolden you to experiment with the wide selection of wines available. 

Our aim is to offer substantial savings and discounts on volume orders and with the added advantage of our purchasing power, we are able to combine many high quality accessories at preferential prices or even as a unique bundle.

All prices are offered in £ Pounds Sterling and inclusive of UK VAT

Deliveries are normally within 2 working days by a reputable Nation wide courier and charged at normal rates, these are based on UK mainland, additional charges for exports can be obtained by phoning our sales line. 01883 624 617 where we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

 2. How to order wines at wwwwinesulike.co.uk

           Winesulike make your online shopping experience as easy as

           Possible, by following the simple steps your order will be delivered.   

2.1 How do I search for wines ?

The home page is the best place to start your shopping with winesulike.co.uk. On the left hand side you will find a table of drop down menus.  Click on the the list of options – for example Red Wine, then click on the type of wine you wish to browse and you’ll be taken to that page.

We have a number of ways for you to search for wine. You can search by Wine Type, Special Offers, Mixed Cases, All products etc.  

You can then narrow your search by clicking on one of these selected buttons, which will then take you to your chosen wines, after which you then have the option to click on the wine of your choice.

Enter the quantity you require into your shopping basket and follow the simple steps to complete your purchase. For additional wines and accessories just click on View Cart and follow same procedure.      

To ensure we achieve your expected delivery time. The search options are dynamic which means that they only display goods that are actually available from our warehouse and relevant to your selection.  

2.2 Is there a minimum purchase on winesulike?

Yes, you must purchase at least 6 bottles, however we recommend it’s more cost effective to buy 12 due to the shipping cost. You have a choice when ordering to request a minimum of 6 of the same bottle or you can create your own mixed case. All the individual bottle prices will be recalculated to a mixed case order. Remember to order 12 or more to ensure you gain the best savings per bottle and preferential delivery tarifs. 

2.3 Can I save my wine purchases and return at a later date?

Yes. When you order an item simply click on the Add to Basket icon on the wine detail page and the item will be saved to your basket.  When you click on Add to Basket you will be taking to a Shopping Cart page where you can view your selections so far and decide whether to Continue to Checkout or Continue searching for wines

The value and number of items of your shopping to date is permanently displayed on the screen, you can either click on this or on the “My Basket” link in the menu bar to display the details of your order.  If you want to remove something, simply tick the 'remove' box next to the item in your shopping bag that you wish to remove, and then click the 'update' button. This will then remove the products that you "ticked" to be removed.

 

2.4 How do I complete a purchase?

When you have all the items you wish to purchase in your basket, it is recommended that you read the terms and conditions, shipping information and privacy policy, then go to your basket and click the "checkout" button which will then take you to the payment area to pay for your selected items.

To order on the web:

You will first need to register your details and create an account within the online shop. Registration is quick and easy. If you have previously registered you need only to enter your e-mail address and password to continue, this will then pre-fill all of the checkout requirements for you based on the information supplied during previous orders and the details stored in your account with the shop. Otherwise you will need to set up a new account by filling in the simple form provided.

For your convenience and security your first order must be delivered to the card address and therefore winesulike will not deliver to any other address unless agreed. Alternative delivery addresses will only be accepted on second order and validation.

2.5 Are my payments secure?

All payments to winesulike are secured by the WorldPay who are one of the UK ’s leading independent online processing companies. Our site is therefore continuously updated by (logo) with the latest secure server encryption technology. Your payments could not be safer.


We recommend that you check the details of the items you are ordering before making your purchase. Clicking on the "Continue" button takes you through the required pages to the point at which you can enter your payment details and complete your order securely online. You will need to choose from one of the card types that we accept for online payments. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Switch and most Debit cards.


 
2.6 What if I want to reorder a wine but have forgotten the name?

All your order details are stored in your account. These include not only the wines you have ordered for your personal consumption but those you have sent to friends as well. 

3.  Shipping with winesulike.

3.1    What are your UK delivery charges?

Please note that the following standard delivery charges apply for UK retail orders :

·         FREE UK (mainland) delivery is available on all orders over £60.00 however a standard charge of £7.00 will apply on any orders up to £60.00. (per address) provided the order is received before 1pm.

UK deliveries are currently undertaken by UK Mail 

·       We can deliver to the Channel Islands, Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, the Shetlands and Orkneys. The additional automated charge is £15 on top of the standard £7.00 For example case of 6 to Northern Ireland £7 plus £20 total payable £27.00.

 

3.2 When will I receive my shipment?

Orders received by 1pm will be despatched the same day.  Standard delivery timeframe is 1-2 working days provided that the item is in stock. Actual time of delivery is from Monday to Friday between 9am-5.30pm weekdays.

If a particular wine is in high demand and is out of stock we will contact you only if delivery of the item is likely to take more than 7 days. In these rare cases we will advise you of the delivery time frame we can meet, or recommend an alternative wine or refund your payment if you do not want to proceed with the order.

Orders for Northern Ireland, Scilly Isles, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands and the Orkneys – please allow 3-5 days.  It may also take longer to deliver to remote areas – including the following post codes: AB, BT, DD 8-11, HS, IV, KA 27-28, KW, PA20-23, 28-29, 31, 34, 41 onwards, PH8, 10, 16, 18 onwards, TR21-25, ZE.

If you need the wine for a particular date, please make sure you mention this in the comments section when placing your order. Please contact us at sales@winesulike.co.uk  for these delivery requests.

After you have placed your order online, we will send you an order confirmation email with the subject '”Thank you for your purchase at winesulike”. In the email you will find information about when your products will be delivered.

 

 

3.3 What if no one is home to meet the courier?

If no one is home, the courier will leave a card to say she/he has been. Alternatively, you may authorize the courier to leave the order in a certain place. There is a textbox in the shopping checkout where delivery instructions can be left should no one be home to meet the courier. Let us know if you want the courier to leave your order in a certain spot (e.g. at back door or in shed etc). IMPORTANT NOTE: if a request is made for wine to be left unattended we cannot be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.

3.4 Can I return the wine for any reason?

Yes you can.

We are committed to giving you complete satisfaction. If you are not completely satisfied with any winesulike product, please email us at info@winesulike.co.uk  detailing the reason and then simply return it within 14 days of order date, and we will issue a refund for the value of the items less delivery costs on receipt of the goods.

IMPORTANT NOTE. The goods must be in a saleable condition and in its original, undamaged packaging. (this does not affect your statutory rights in the event of faulty goods).


If you intend to return any part of your order, please e-mail us at info@winesulike.co.uk Then return the goods along with a letter explaining why you are returning the product and enclose it with your shipment. Carefully secure and package the merchandise to prevent damage in transit (the package with remaining product must be returned).

If there are breakages in transit please save the merchandise and the package it arrived in and notify us immediately.

Please note: Any returns must be shipped within 14 days of receiving your order together with a letter detailing why you are returning the product. Shipping and handling charges are NOT refundable unless the goods delivered were incorrect, damaged or faulty.
