Cab Cult 2009 (code:035)

How would it be if a wine left the winery exactly as Mother Nature intended? No made-up coffee flavours. No stories about the grapes being crushed between the thighs of a red-haired virgin. No ageing in oak barrels from the other side of the earth. And definitely no recommendations to drink it with fish or pasta.

We introduce Cab Cult, the anti-hero of the wine world (we think the enjoyment delivered by this wine's mouthfilling juicy fruit and silky tannin finish is worthy of cult status).

It's made for the wine critic inside every wine drinker. If it impresses your friends, it will be because they enjoy drinking it, not because of the fancy pants marketing, or a 90+ point rating by someone you've never met (which is how cult wines are usually created). It certainly will never have its own specially designed Riedel glass, no $1000 price tag (maybe for a pallet, never for a single bottle), and you don't need to befriend the winemaker's second cousin to be allocated a few bottles.

In short, none of the bullshit and crap that pervades the very exclusive, top end of the wine market. For centuries, honest wines have been part of the daily lives of ordinary people. Here's a toast to the simplicity of that lifestyle.

Join the Cult … a new kind of cult cabernet!
